How Many Calories Should You Consume Daily?

 

 

 

The following formula is very helpful in determining the amount of calories you should consume on a day-to-day basis in order to lose weight:

 

 

 

Sedentary Individuals: Take your current weight and multiply it by the number 9. For example, a 170-pound person should lose weight if he/she consumes no more than 1530 calories per day.

 

 

 

Active People: Take your current weight and multiply it by the number 10. For example, a 150-pound person should lose weight if he/she consumes no more than 1500 calories per day.

 

 

 

Very Active People: Take your current weight and multiply it by the number 12. For example, a 165-pound person should lose weight if he/she consumes no more than 1980 calories per day.
